Trojan Infection.

Something nasty was downloaded onto my computer about 2-3 months ago. It hasn’t been a problem until i starting trying to play games. Where it causes intense lag periodically for about 10-20 second once per 50 seconds ish. It always redirects me away from intended sites whenever i use a search engine.

I believe it may be the same as the problem in this thread:

However, i am not sure.

If anyone could spare the time to help me i would greatly appreciate it.

((though be warned, i know little about computers))

Thank you by the way

Hi Player742,

  • It seems that you don’t use an anti-virus scanner or your scanner is not active. Only an anti-virus scanner can protect you against new viruses. avast is a good av-solution,

  • We didn’t detect any active process of a firewall on your system. Reasons maybe:
(1.) You are using the windows firewall or a hardware firewall.
(2.) You are using a firewall of an unknown vendor.
(3.) You are using a firewall, but for unknown reasons it is disabled
(4.) You don’t use any firewall at all.
We recommend you to use a firewall. Download and install one or activate windows’s own one. .
