Since 23.12.2016 Avast free antivirus has located JS:iframe-ESN[Trj] several times.
The web sites that I was accessing were reputable sites, newspapers etc. Sites that I have accessed for years without any problem.
I presume JS:iframe-ESN[Trj] is a Trojan. Possibly linked to Java Script.
I was using Microsoft Edge browser.
Sometimes Avast blocks it with message “Threat has been detected”.
Four times it was quarantined to the Virus Chest.
The name in the Virus Chest is fmr[1].js.
A subsequent BOOT TIME Scan, after quarantine, shows no virus found.
A scan with Malawarebytes also shows no threat/virus found.
Is there anything I can do to ensure that the PC is not infected.
Thanks
Peter
