trojan keeps trying access my computer

hello,

recently i must have been to a website that now keeps trying to send 3 trojan files to my computer. i think they are deguised as .jpg files. avast is picking them up before they get downloaded but it is annoying having the avast alarm roughly every 5-10mins. is they a way to stop this or permenantly block these attempted intrusions?

thanks in advance, justin

these are the filenames:

http:// 85.255.117.133 /users/smart/web/files/encodex.jpg
Win32:Agent-IU [Trj]

http:// 85.255.115.187 /users/fill/web/images/sphlp32.jpg
Win32:Adan-094 [Adw]

http:// 85.255.115.187 /users/fill/web/images/pppcgm.jpg
Win32:Adan-078 [Adw]

What is your Operating System ?

Please don’t post live links to suspected malware, modify the links so they aren’t clickable, e.g. using spaces to break up the url
http :// 85.255.117.133/users/smart/web/files/encodex.jpg

If you are browsing that web site then I would stop visiting it and the alerts will stop. However as I think there is something on your system that is trying to access this site a forums search for
users/fill/web/ should return more information as this isn’t the first time this url has featured in the forums. This is just one of them http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=20749.0 check out the information there and this one http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=20362.0

thank you for your direction, i have found the solution, i used a program called ewido anti-malware. you have to run the program in safe mode to clear the problem.

some aspects of the problem i fear are still around. i am experiencing problems with google, when trying to follow a search link, i get sent to am adsite.

Then try some of the other suggestions in those threads, like HiJackThis, adaware, or spybot S&D.

Also useful as a diagnostic tool - Download HiJackThis.zip - HJT Information HiJackThis Tutorial 1 or HiJackThis Tutorial 2
For an on-line analysis - HiJackThis Log file - On-line Analysis OR HiJackThis Log file - On-line Analysis 2
Ignore any 023 reference to avast processes, this is a hiccup in the HJT 1.99.1 (especially missing file entry for avast), if you need any help with any of the analysis let us know.

If you haven’t already got this software (freeware), download, install, update and run it, preferably in safe mode.

  1. Ad-Aware
  2. Spybot Search and Destroy
  3. Spywareblaster Don’t install this until you are clean.

Should also consider adding those 2 "85.." to the
"Restricted sites" in your Internet Options > Security !?
