Trojan Win32:Agent-LE

I am a new avast home user. After scanning I have the Win32:Agent-LE trojan in C:\windows\memory.DMP. avast recommends it to be moved to chest but am unable to do so as it says there is not enough space on disk even though there is over 30GB free. How do I deal with this virus?

The memory.dmp file is redundant, it is created during a crash (a copy of the contents of your memory) and is only good for analysis by people who understand it. If it has been some time since the crash and you aren’t having it analysed its worth is much reduced. The virus would appear to have been in memory during or at the time of the crash.

I would suggest you delete it, if there happens to be a crash in the future the file is regenerated, it will also save you some disk space.

The size relates to the avast chest, either file or chest size, this avoids it being swamped, you can change this in Program Settings, Chest. But in this case probably not necessary

DavidR, thanks very much for your assistance.

No problem, glad could help.
