Trusted Software Vendors was lost. Important!

Hey all!

I want all people here that uses comodo or know who uses comodo to share this. It’s important! Lately people have suffered of losing their Trusted vendor list due to a bug. This bug can be solved way but don’t forget that this is an alternative solution.

This how you solve solve your “Trusted Software Vendors was lost” problem.

here is where you download it http://forums.comodo.com/install-setup-configuration-help-cis/trusted-vendors-gone-t66122.0.html;msg465123#msg465123 the file is called database_CIS

  1. Download the attached and extract it on your desk (so that you have it visible).

  2. restart the computer and press F8 and select safe mode.

  3. Now do these steps: desktop —> My computer —> program —> comodo —> comodo internet security —> database. Keep database window open, now you delete all files besides the files that are called pending, now copy what’s in database_CIS in database.

Take care and have a nice day.

Regards,
Tenko

Glad I’m not using Comodo… :frowning:

No need to panic. It appears Comodo’s main Trusted Vendors list is now maintained in the cloud, while your personal trusted vendors are stored locally on your hard drive. Reference

I don’t use the Comodo cloud, and my Trusted Vendors list remains intact.

Yeah. This is how it works.

@ Tech

Why does your system crash so much ???

It does not crash…
It’s working perfectly. avast beta is the cause of the instability.

You mean a conflict between something on your system and avast!5.1 beta.
I personally don’t have any problems any more.

Yes.
Sometimes it does not happen in the first boot, but in the others.

no software is perfect… and it needs improvements. Comodo is in general well programed software just as Avast.

You’re saying CIS is a well programmed software. The others is just a lack of programming and development.

Sorry but that’s a statement I can’t agree with. :frowning:

I do

Tenko, last week you were using the comodo suite but now your running avast with online armor, i think that speak’s for itself what you really think of comodo-
(not user friendly and resource hungry)

You use Security: Avast free with OA (onlinearmor) with Comodo ???

I was wondering this myself.

on my virtual machine I use Avast with OA. on my real on I use CIS 5/2011

Take the leap of faith Tenko and convert

I will wait for Avast 5.1

we have just released a new beta refresh, version number 5.1.807.

Its working well for me.

That’s a hard move to make for a Comodo Fanboy.

Thanks for confirmation, Tech.
