I have been trying out the Free version so far
Now to try the Pro
It looks as if I will need to uninstall the ‘Free’ un and then install the Pro?
I know it says I can convert the ‘Free’ to Pro but that’s not the same thing
You will like the Pro. I hear good thing about sandbox.
For be sure me i would say uninstall the Free with the removal tool and install the Pro.
That what i would do for be complety sure that all things of the Free is removed and do a clean install of the Pro. As i hear some bad thing about the insert license key via the Free. So i dont know if its was fixed yet so i wont take chance and follow what i said.
Have a nice try out.

Trying and actually buying are somewhat different as you want to take advantage no doubt of the 30 trial before purchase.
The only way you can do that is by uninstalling the free version, reboot, then install the pro trial version (regular pro version allows use for 30 days as trial).
So first download the Pro version and save it to your hard disk http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/setup_av_pro.exe. Now uninstall the free version, reboot and install the pro version. Try it for the trial period and if it meets requirements/expectations purchase the License and enter the license, see below.

All done etc - ok, but
On boot there is a fight for ‘first place’ sort of thing
I get the warning triangle with the message attention…
Shields are disabled
Wait a short time (5/10 seconds) and they spring to life
I’ll give it a complete shut down and see tomorrow
Its look normal not really sure. But me its dont do that maybe because i got a fast processor i dont know.
Another feedback for the insert license that work. So i guess i will can recommand it.
Thx Nicola S for the feed back for him.
Mr.Agent ;D
The OP isn’t ready to ‘upgrade’ just yet, he wants to try the Pro version, which you can’t do with the avast 5.0 version installed as there is no trial key as such to insert. So the only way to get that is by installing the Pro version so you can use the 30 day trial.
I would uninstall it then reinstall it to prevent possible problems. For me, inserting the license key into the free version did not work. Also, I have a video of me testing the Sandbox. If you want to see it, it’s in my signature. Hope it helps
Hi GloobyGoob
I have seen your video before … maybe even commented it ( I can’t remember, sorry ) but you did an excellent job. Well done

Thank you This is a new video though, I’ve tested more sites. Bad thing is it’s longer.
@Mr.Agent
ASUS P5Q, E8500 - 3.16, 4GB ram, SATA11 'Cuda
No issue with resources
The issue is mentioned by many and I think it is a ‘known’
There is an option under settings/troubleshooting, but I hate ‘wait-service’
I have no problem with the situation, but hope it is sorted soonish.
I am finding that the Pro version is lighter than the free - 20%+ :-*

Nice video, I don’t think I’ll try it though ;D
ok I’ll be snapping at some ankles for 2 years now ;D
