All that happens is that it opens a blank page in the Avast browser, while there is no change to the number of extensions in the extension manager. Neither does anything show up in the password manager that is native to the Avast Secure Browser. I have installed on Bing, which I am loath to use, but for some reason, I cannot install in the browser marketed by the same company that is making me move my passwords. WTF?! Why can’t we keep it the way it was when we bought it anyway? I never wanted it to change, dammit. I am more and more unhappy with Avast every year.
Resolved by using the link provided in this answer (linked below) to install on the Avast Secure Browser through a work around since the button in the Premium Security app doesn’t work.
After using the link to install the new password manager extension it’s worked like a charm.
I had tried to go to the chrome store directly, but searching for Avast password anything came up with nothing and the Avast extension “store” doesn’t even have their own password manager (perhaps you could get your departments on the same page a bit). Honestly, Avast as a company seems very sloppy whenever they roll out new things. It’s always very frustrating to deal with.
