Trying to install new license, forgot password

Hello all,

I recently renewed my Pro account and downloaded the license, and when I try to install it - by double-clicking the file - it asks my password. The problem is that I forgot my password, I can’t find how to reset it.

So, in short, how can I reset my password?

p.s. if there is a way to reset it, why not just put a link to it after you write the wrong password (like every other program that uses a password does)?

If you forgot your PW, you’ve to reinstall.

  1. Download avast! Pro Antivirus: http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_pro_antivirus_setup.exe
  2. Follow instructions: http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed avast! versions…!!)
  3. Reinstall avast! with the downloaded installer from point 1.
  4. Reboot.
