Avast says I can turn off the sound in my Settings menu. It says go to Settings, then Events. I don’t have something called events in my settings menu.
Can anyone direct me how to turn off the most annoying sound ever?
I’m using Avast on my Dell Inspirion laptop, and using MS XP.

Right click the ‘a’ blue icon.
Go to Program Settings and the Sounds tab 
That was easy! Because Avast came pre-loaded, I didn’t even know what that blue icon was down there in my tray!
I kept going into the program and trying to turn it off there. You can’t!

Well, if you right click the skin you can choose ‘Settings’ too…
If the icon ‘disappears’, well, run C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashdisp.exe
