That was about 8 months ago when after many emails and phone calls to Avast as well as the thread here I finally got my wife’s Avast Internet Security Licence sorted out with a new licence in place until 2017. Or so I thought until my wife got the following email today:

We noticed that your Master Card card ending in ************xxxx has expired or will expire before your renewal date. If no action is taken, your subscription will expire.

Have you checked the Registration information in the avast! User Interface ???
What date does it say your license expires ???
The notice you received could just be for the original license and has nothing to do with your current registration.

As well as raising the thread here, I also replied to Avast’s email. I then found your reply, did as you suggested, and found that the licence runs until February 2017. Panic over so thank you so much for your good advice.
Today we received a reply from Avast which more or less gave the same advice that you gave and also said that the system could not cope with altered licence dates or words to that effect.

Thank you once again.

Glad I was able to help.

Dear Avast, my computer has not been working for about 9 months, and I got an email reminding me of auto renewal. I have been trying to find the email address to notify them not to auto renew since pc is down it would not make sense and it would be a cost incurred on me that isn’t practical at the moment. Please, please how,do I cancell same? Thanks
