Two instances of Avast Antivirus in startup? Is this normal?

I’m a Windows 7 user on a 64x desktop. After running msconfig today, I noticed two listings for “Avast Antivirus” under the Startup tab. Both had “C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\AVLaunch.exe” /gui as the Command Line. However, the locations for each one differed:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Are these legitimate Avast entries?

Known issue, will be fixed in V19.3

When will 19.3 be released and can one of the entries in startup be removed (disabled)?

I am experiencing memory issues (Win10) and Memory Management BSOD crashes which I think may be related to Avast.
I have disabled automatic startup of secure browser and so far so good. Not sure if that was the fix though.

Anyone else reporting Memory Management BSOD issues recently?

I would be interested in this. Avast pushed an update to my wife’s Windows 8 box last week that hung on the reboot screen. I finally managed to get in and there were two instances of AVLaunch.exe. The processor was maxxed out and stayed that way with the task manager pointing to Avast as the guilty process. I finally wound up removing Avast completely and it fixed everything. This is mildly irritating because I have paid through the year. I have been using Avast for close to 20 years and I am becoming disenchanted with the continuous pop ups flogging products. It seems to be going the way of Norton which ultimately became more similar to malware than the things it was supposed to protect you from.

I believe I read something about version 19.3 due to be released today, if not today very soon.

EDIT: Yes it is the post I read is here https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=225096.msg1497365#msg1497365.
