Typing backwards and mouse jumping?

I’ve been told an assortment of things about this.
Someone said it was an old keyboard/mouse, and another said it was windows 7. It could also be a virus.
Is this a common problem in windows 7 or an old keyboard? The old keyboard just seems unlikely. The mouse also jumps WAY up, but it’s also old, so it could actually be that in all circumstances. To be precise, the computer started typing right to left instead of left to right. This was only for a moment though.

Hi Gmanbo,

Have you cleansed the keyboard, dust and crumbs and for instance peanut butter can give strange phenomena.
If you closed down, cleansed out your temporal files using ATFCleaner has everything then returned back to normal?

what is so special about peanut butter D......i know it does taste very good ...... ;D

Hi Pondus,

It tastes great but it is a very keyboard unfriendly substance, that is why I thought of it,

I already scanned with malwarebytes and avast, however, I updated and scanned again with no results. MBAM log is attached in case it can be any use.
As far as antispyware goes, I already use spywareblaster because it was recommended to me by essexboy, and I believe having 2 is detrimental to your system isn’t it?

The keyboard phenomenon only occurred once recently and only for a moment, I clicked and backspaced and it was fixed, so I have no idea if it ever will happen again.

And well the mouse thing… Well, I’m an avid pc “Steam”(In case you didn’t know, steam is an online distributor of games) gamer, and I only see it happen in games, and it happens somewhat rarely, so I tried to ignore it. However, the recent keyboard freakout made me decide to finally take action.

But is there any chance this is simply a windows 7 issue? Has anyone heard of that? It doesn’t seem likely, but I don’t visit any unknown sites, and I even watch the ones I do trust for anything unusual.

I see no log attached,

Haha, my bad, something happened, it’s attached to the post above now. :-[

Thanks for the advice, didn’t even think about people harvesting from here. Did the best I could with computer information; anything else I may want to add? I didn’t really see anything else to add to help, but then again, I’ve only had windows 7 a couple of months, so some it is still a bit foreign to me.

Only if you have two antivirus programs. Spywareblaster is not a scanner but a passiv program that immunise your browser

By the way you and only the Moderators here can see your email address now. 8)

I have had Windows 7 since it became available last October and really like it.
I still learn someting new about it every day it seems.

I don’t have an old keyboard as the whole system was new to replace my old PIII system that had a complete meltdown.

I don’t mean to argue a bunch, but isn’t MBAM there for that? :-X

Also, thanks Yokenny!

yepp, and i use (and many in here) MBAM and SAS, for that

Now the computer just recently was unable to exit hibernation and told me all things that were not saved prior to it were lost. Luckily I don’t think I had anything that needed to be saved at the moment.
