Hi guys,
Well I wanted to try something different, so I installed Ubuntu and am using gnome instead of Kubuntu right now. I am actually starting to like Ubuntu (gnome) more than Kubuntu (kde), it takes some getting use to but I don’t really know if I will go back to Kubuntu now, I guess I will wait until KDE 4 to make that choice…
Did you guys know that Beryl and Compiz merged? They are making a new program called Compiz Fusion, I’m testing the pre-release version but I had to install Emerald as it didn’t come with it, if you guys want I can give you more info on it.

I just installed compiz fusion and love it. Remember it’s still quite buggy though. It took quite a bit of tweaking to get it to work on 2 of my machines, but worked fine on another. Love it though. Serious Eye candy.

You could have both, gnone and kde and choose what you want when you boot.
sudo
apt-get install ubuntu-desktop
apt-get install kubuntu-desktop
The second line installs gnome in Kubuntu and the third installs KDE in Ubuntu 8)

Next time I boot Linux, if I remember ;D, I’ll take a look into Compiz Fusion 8)
Yes I know about installing different desktops, but I was going to reformat anyways so I decided to just do it with Ubuntu
Hi,
Thought I would put a screenshot of one of the features the new Compiz Fusion is capable of, just click the image below for a bigger preview.
