All of a sudden the UI failed to load issue is back only two days after applying the workaround of turning Desktop Remote Services to Automatic
disabling virtualization did not help, the activation of the Remote Desktop service does not help, Аvast Premier also gives this error.
I have exactly the same problem and would really appreciate it if the avast-developers could solve this issue
And now I’m glad I didn’t try it. Clearly it was only a temporary fix and a permanent fix is needed.
The devs need to fix this issue permanently. The sooner the better. If not people are going to look for other free anti-viruses.
the only thing that “works” for me so far is not shutting down or restarting my computer. I just put it on sleep mode and it worked for today.
but of course thats not a solution, just a little workaround.
Right. I only restart my Windows 10 laptop about once a week but if a permanent fix isn’t done by that point next week I guess I’ll just have to wait for a permanent fix before I can do that.
Maybe that is why I had so many issues, as I shutdown all the machines nightly, Laptop, Desktops 1 and 2, Desktop 3 sleeps, maybe i’ll do my clean install in morning and give Avast 1 more shot, but if it storms, then I may have to shutdown, almost thinking of just using Windows Defender
I’d do that too but Avast has pretty much kept me virus free for so many years now that I’ve actually lost count. I’m unsure if Windows Defender would do the same.
sighs
The devs really need to permanently fix this… :-\
This isn’t acceptable.
Why am I having this problem ?
Am I protected or not ?
version 18.3 was fixed on Saturday, today we fixed version 18.2. tomorrow we plan to release fix for version 18.4
So apparently @hectic-mmv just posted in another thread that an update is going to be released in another attempt to fix this.
My questions:
When?
How is the ‘update’ implemented?
Does it fix the issue permanently?

it’s delivered via microupdate. after restart it works. so if you got version 18.3 not running, restart machine and it should work

On the other hand, it doesn’t seem to have gone as planned.
18.4 last week and 18.3 this week

So that means… it’s not going to be fixed?
When is it going to be fixed?
How many of these useless posts do you intend to make.
It certainly isn’t helping.

They aren’t pointless when I’m not getting any solid answers.
Fixed today, please restart your PC
Can anyone else confirm if the issue has been permanently fixed? I’ll restart my computer tomorrow to see if it’s been fixed.
If not…
