UI failed to load

Hi folks.

Today i had a strange… accident: when tried to open Avast panel i saw a message (look at screen-shot down here).

I solved this problem by using “repair” from control panel. So… it works agane (at least for now). But it was… strange (i did nothin - this happend immediately after the start of the “windows”). I never saw it before, and i dont know - what caused this.

So i just… share this - for any case.

Please (re)search before posting.
This has already been explained in other threads.

Yep… sorry, my fault. Just… in a last days there is so much new topics (usualy all “new” - it’s only the first page. And i missed it).

  • those topic are not in english… so, I will leave this topic here. If you, guys, don’t mind.

Hi All,

I just wanted to report that I had this issue today as well with the latest version of Avast free AV (17.1.2286) and repaired as per this thread.

I am running Win7 Pro SP1.

Cheers,
Mike T.

Just post the link. It’s more helpful and keeps every one happy.

Ohh, this one is different, mine tells me my protection is not running and with the GUI not running of course I am cut off from all help and succour.

That the Avast service module cannot tell that the Avast GUI module is not running correctly, and report this back to base, bespeaks a certain weakness in your supposedly secure software.

Something I have pointed out before!!! >:(

Repair Avast:
Control Panel> Program and Features (Add/remove program)>Select Avast> Select Repair. Reboot when completed

If Repair doesn’t fix the problem, try the following:
Clean Install of Avast:
