UI Failed to Load

Unlike other comments on this subject, I did not have the free version, but paid for two years.
I tried installing it three times. Whenever it starts, it stops with a message “UI FAILED TO LOAD”. I am using Microsoft XP, so maybe that is the problem, but previous Avast worked fine.

I did find a lot of instructions that are supposed to fix this problem, but I do NOT have time to figure out what any of that means. Unless I get a response soon for a very quick simple repair, I will ask for a refund.

My Avast Premium is supposedly running on my Windows 10 laptop. But I cannot get the user interface to show when I try to open it,
