I can’t activate Avast Premium Security with the purchased key because the program shows an error that it is not connected to the Internet. Likewise, activating the product with an Avast account does not work.
Computer with Windows 11, Avast worked on it for a long time. The license ran out, I bought a new one. When trying to activate, my nightmare began.
What did I try? Everything as administrator and without success…
0) Restarting the computer multiple times
Another Internet connection (both without VPN)
I used Avast’s settings reset option
I used the installer to repair the installation
I uninstalled the program and reinstalled from scratch simply
I uninstalled the program using Avast’s removal tool and reinstalled it from scratch
I repeated some of these steps several times. Altogether it took me more than 4 hours and nothing works. The program has internet connectivity, as it shows other listings, information about database updates, etc. The only thing that doesn’t work is the window for entering the activation code, and the screen for checking the available options for renewing the program doesn’t work.
It is preferable to attach images to your post as many won’t visit an unknown 3rd party site.
Attaching Images to your post - When you Click the Reply button it opens a text window for you to post your comment (reply or post).
Click the Preview button, that shows what you have input and expands it to include ‘Attachments and other options’. Click that it further expands, here you can attach images, etc. at the bottom of your post.
See my attached image, click to expand.
Is this a first registration of the Avast product ?
Are you using a VPN ?
if so what
try temporarily disabling it.
In the Avast tray icon, right click > UI, Registration Information presumably there isn’t anything in there under subscriptions if this is a first registration.
I wonder if you can enter the new registration (or assign it) in your Avast Account https://id.avast.com - if so you should be able to assign it to your installation.
Unfortunately I’m working in the dark as I have never experienced this problem (as an Avast Free user).
It occurred to me that I did not restart my computer after the installation, so I gave that a try. Once I restarted the computer, the avast application was then able to log me in and pick up my internet connection. Everything appears to now be working correctly.
Can you see the computer listed in id.avast.com account, if so can you not assign the new subscription from there ?
This is from an old related topic:

As in the first post:
“What did I try? Everything as administrator and without success…

On Avast website I can see only the new subscription, but there is no info about computer with my instalation. I can not provide key or log in in avast, so there is no option to connect it.
