Unable to delete or edit firewall application rule

I’ve been trying to get an application (AkrutSync) to work with the firewall, and am now in a situation where the group is shown, and is marked as having two rules, but when I click on the reveal arrow it doesn’t list them (or anything). I am also unable to delete the group because it is not empty. Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Repair Avast:

  1. Avast GUI → Settings → Troubleshooting
  2. Click on ‘REPAIR APP’.
  3. Follow instructions.
  4. Reboot.

Thanks, that fixed it.

Now all I’ve got to do is work out why the firewall is still clocking the app. I’ve set everything I can find to the most permissive setting, but it’s still getting blocked.

PS: Set the Avast Firewall to private mode and reboot.

For future reference, just a reboot would have been sufficient.

Avast will show the firewall group as empty the next time it starts and you can delete the empty group.
