Whenever i attempt to disable shields (no matter the time option), i get the pop up asking me if i’m sure i want to do this.
However, there are no added buttons to confirm.
The only option i have is to pres “ESC” to close the pop up, but this will keep the shields active.
Reinstalled the software 3 times so far, same issue keeps continuing.

You are missing two Buttons OK Stop and Cancel, there is a 50 second count down if you don’t take any action.
Try an Avast Repair > in the AvastUI > Menu > Settings > Troubleshooting > Repair APP, a restart after would also be advised.
Are you trying to take down shields temporarily?
If so, have you tried to do it by right clicking the tray icon, then using “Avast Sheilds Control” from the pop-up list.
@DavidR: - unfortunately, repairing the program was attempted before i tried through reinstalling the software and yielded no difference in results.
- Letting the timer run out, will automatically keep the shields turned on, where i’m trying to turn them off.
@Rocksteady: Yes, i tried through the system tray as well, but this will create the same pop-up that i had as a screenshot and will yield no different result. :-s
Did you use the avast uninstall utility when doing the reinstall ?
