Unable to get response from Avast!

For several weeks I have tried to contact the Avast! help/support so that I can protect a second computer on my account. I recently renewed my annual subscription, and simply wanted a new licence key for my second computer. Every time I sent e-mail (even to addresses within Avast! which responded personally before), I received an automated response asking me to go to: http://www.avast.com/support. Every time I went to the website to attempt to lodge a ‘ticket’ I was unable to gain access, I got the following message - Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Does anyone know how I can actually correspond to someone in Avast! who can assist me? I have had an account with Avast! for some time and all I want is for my second computer to be protected.

regards Tony

Was this renewal done via the avast User Interface ?

When you renewed your license, did you receive an email from avast with the new license ?

What version of avast license did you have, Pro/Avast Internet Security/Premium and for how many PCs 1/2/3 ?

If your license was for multiple PCs then you can enter the same license (as you did for the first) in the second computer. If you haven’t used all of the licenses for a multi PC license - Copy the license.avastlic to the second PC.

Welcome to the forum Tony.
You neglected to tell us for which version of avast! you needed the license. Free, Pro, Internet Suite or, Premiere.
It would make answering your question easier.
Just for your information, my computer has been protected by the Free version of avast! for the past 10 years.
Registration of that product can be done directly through the program.

Hi,

Thankyou for your responses… I took your advice and entered the licence key on the second computer, and it worked!!! I was confused as the licence was directed to the first computer’s email address so I didn’t think it would work on the second computer.

I have the Internet security version (I think?) for up to 3 computers

Regards Tony

You’re welcome.
