I was able to play a CD game when I had the free Avast, until recently. I updraded to the Premium Security Avast lastnight, now tonight the game will not load. The disc is turning ok, and the game option comes up without a problem. However, when I click ‘PLAY’, the game will not start, though the disc is turning normally as I can hear it, there are no error pop ups of any description.
The game path has been added to ‘Exceptions’, game still will not start. ‘File Shield’ has been turned off, still the game will not start. I have tried to follow instructions online that states turn off temporary the antivirus; windows does clarify that ‘Avast Antivirus is snoozed’. Why was I able to play the game on disc while having the free Avast, as with Windows Defender before, but as soon as I pay for Premium, the game no longer works, and how can I rectify this problem without deleting Avast?
