I can’t reactivate Avast Free AntiVirus. It won’t let me select that option. I’ve tried to redownload Avast and still can’t get my free Avast to reactivate. How can I fix this?

Having the exact same issue and I created an account for the sole purpose of saying, I’ve been with Avast since my parents bought me my first laptop in 2010. I’ve never used a different antivirus before, but this issue has annoyed me so much that I will be switching to one of the alternatives. I spent a week trying to re-activate, only to continually get bombarded with the popup for the paid upgrade. “For your loyalty for x amount of days, here’s this special offer!” Which is the same offer I got when I tried doing a fresh install and the number changed to 0 days.
