Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (PRO) 1.75.0.1300

Hi, Thanks for the fast response.

Here are the attached results you requested except that the aswMBR scan didn’t provide an extras.txt file.

John

Hello,

Your logs are corrupt because they are saved as Unicode.

Please do the following so we can read the logs to assess your situation and provide the needed help.

Re-open, OTL.txt, Extras.txt

[]Click File
[
]Click Save As
[]Rename the file to the previous name and then add ANSI. Ex: If OTL, the name should now be OTLANSI.txt.
[
]Down below, Click the box with the word Encoding to the left.
[*]Choose ANSI.

See the attached picture below.

Each step is labeled, 1, 2, 3, 4. Please do them in that list.

Make sure you attach Extras.txt. It is needed and is saved where OTL is.

Hi, Renamed the files as requested but still unable to find an extras.txt file.

OTL requests a location to save the log file from me.

I actually ran OTL Oldtimer 18 days ago on 9-6-14 and it produced an extras.txt file then which i’ve attached if it’s of any use to you.

regards
John

OTL extra is only created at first run. As the name say, just extra tech info, usually not needed so not important

Hello johnnyfullerton,

Step#1

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (
http://www.mcshield.net/personal/magna86/Images/FRST_canned.png
) by Farbar and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatibale with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them.
Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

[*]Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
[*]Press Scan button.
[*]It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
[*]The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.

.

Step#2

1. Open notepad and copy/paste the text present inside the code box below.
To do this highlight the contents of the box and right click on it. Paste this into the open notepad.
NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to the operating system

Folder: C:\Users\Johnnys\AppData\Roaming\dclogs

2. Save notepad as fixlist.txt to your Desktop.
NOTE: => It’s important that both files, FRST and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work.

3. Run FRST/FRST64 and press the Fix button just once and wait.
If the tool needed a restart please make sure you let the system to restart normally and let the tool completes its run after restart.

The tool will make a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please attach it to your reply.
Note: If the tool warned you about the outdated version please download and run the updated version.

=> Please post here FRST.txt, Addition.txt and FixLog.txt

Hi, Here are the files you requested.

Hi johnny,

Just to let you know, I shall look at your logs later this evening in +1 time. That is in a ~ few hours.

I have some staff to do right now.

That’s great, thanks for all the time and effort you’ve provided, I truly appreciate it.

Regards
John

Hi johnny,

I see you have been run ComboFix? Why did not mentioned that and did you read the CF’s disclaimer?

Read official info here …
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic273628.html

…and sUBs’ word here:
http://www.techsupportforum.com/1829551-post6.html

Post me the C:\ComboFix.txt logreport.

Posted FRST log doesn’t show the loaded malware. The MBAM detections are False Positive.

I will suggest you to report this %AppData%\Roaming\dclogs and file detection to MBAM team so they could take a look why this is flaged.

But first, post here the ComboFix report.

Hi, Sorry, i completely forgot about using combofix. I remember looking for help over a month ago with this problem but for some reason it was never solved.

Hi,

You should talk with MBAM developer team to see why one of CAD files is flaged as stolen.data.
My gess is that MBAM target the folder by name (dclogs) and then you have the detection.

The following will implement some post-cleanup procedures:

=> Please download DelFix by Xplode to your Desktop.

Run the tool and check the following boxes below;

http://www.mcshield.net/personal/magna86/Images/checkmark.png
Remove disinfection tools

http://www.mcshield.net/personal/magna86/Images/checkmark.png
Create registry backup

http://www.mcshield.net/personal/magna86/Images/checkmark.png
Purge System Restore
Click Run button and wait a few seconds for the programme completes his work.
At this point all the tools we used here should be gone. Tool will create an report for you (C:DelFix.txt)

The tool will also record healthy state of registry and make a backup using ERUNT program in %windir%\ERUNT\DelFix
Tool deletes old system restore points and create a fresh system restore point after cleaning.

Hi, Can I assume the stolen.data issue has been resolved now

Since Magna has mentioned no loaded malware/viruses are present and gave you delfix. Yes. It is complete.

Hi,

Just read what I’ve said.

Cheers,

Many thanks for your efforts. Will take your advice and talk to mbam. recent scan still shows stolen.data.

In reality I think i need to backup and re-install. My machine was awesome at the beginning

For this FP to preform re-install of Windows?

Am …sure … that might solve the problem.
