Unable to run Avast free edition anti virus

Hello,

I am new to this forum :slight_smile: . I use avast since last one month, before that i use symantec end point protection, when i use it for first time it is good for the past one week i did not run it but today when i try to run it shows the following message:

I don’t know what happen! Any ideas? :frowning:

  1. It is version 10.4.2233
    2)windows 7 64-bit Build 7600
  2. Other than Avast i have Malwarebytes anti-malware.

Repair Avast:

  1. Control Panel → Add/Remove programs → Avast
  2. Click on ‘Repair’.
  3. Follow instructions.
  4. Reboot.

I have change option in control panel instead of Repair, when i click on that nothing happen. :frowning:

First, be sure to get rid of all remnants of your prior installed AV(s)…!!

Then:

  1. Download Avast Free Antivirus: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup.exe
  2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions…!!)
  3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
  4. Reboot.

Hello Asyn,

Sorry for late reply. I uninstall the previous versions of Norton and Avast and download from the link you provided. But during installation it tell me that there is no enough space to install avast i try to delete some file from c: and did a disk clean up. After that i successfully install the avast and now all are fine.
