Unable to scan?

The file, Data1.cab, located in C:\WINDOWS\Installer\96fd65.msi\Data1.cab won’t let avast! scan it, move it, or chest it. I suppose this is probably because something is currently using it.

More disturbing is the fact that I cannot locate C:\WINDOWS\Installer\96fd65.msi\Data1.cab.

Does anybody have any information regarding the nature of this file, whether it should be removed, and if so, how?

Sincerely,
-Andwell

Take a look on this thread(maybe is same)

Maybe you need to disable Hide protected operating system files and enable View hidden files and folders to manage the file(s).

But, indeed, files that can’t be scanned are just that, not an indication they are suspicious/infected, just unable to be scanned. Don’t worry.

You won’t find it even if you have hidden files and folder enabled as it is a file (data1.dat) within an installation file (96fd65.msi). You might well be avbe to find the .msi file nut not the data1.dat file.

Okay. I’ll keep an eye on it, but it’s good to know it’s probably not malicious
