Unable to scan

Everytime I do a virus scan with Avast, I get a notice that there are files they cannot scan - I cannot even find these files on my PC. They are under c:\Document and Settings\All Users and contain such things as RegCleaner.exe; sbRecovery.ini; readme.tex - there are about 16 files in all. Have made a search for them and it came up negative but they must be somewhere. Have made a .jpg image of the files if someone out there can help me and would like me to send them a copy. It is just frustrating, does not seem to be causing me any problems.

See http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=35347.msg297170#msg297170 this topic for more information on why files can’t be scanned.
Files that can’t be scanned are just that, not an indication they are suspicious/infected, just unable to be scanned.

Expand Column Width to see the full text, hover the mouse pointer over the column header divider until the pointer changes (see image) left click and hold down the key whilst dragging the pointer to the right.

Thanks alot David, especially for finding a way to expand the reasons for not being able to scan these files. Will do this on my next virus check, and follow your advice from the URL you have given me.

No problem, glad I could help.

This expand columns generally works for all windows columns.
