Like many users, i had problem after updated avast 4 to 5, i had the message saying C:\ProgramFiiles\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashOutXt.dll can not be loaded and was disabled by Outlook.
I unstalled avast 5, and clean avast with their utility, and my Outlook still doesn’t start
Any suggestion?

Did you reboot?
What is the operating system, and what antivirus has been used prior?

See http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=59527.msg502308#msg502308 for instructions.
You need to:
delete an entry in your registry
delete your extend.dat file
Just follow the instructions in my post and let me know how things went.
