Uninstall Avast Instructions Please

I would like to uninstall this program but understand that traces of it are left behind so you need avclear4.exe. When you go to the link as noted in some posts, you get a 404. Please tell me what to do to totally uninstall. Thank you, Also, I paid for Clean up and would like to keep that but don’t know if it will go away when I uninstall anti virus portion.

You can always find latest avast! Uninstall Utility here:
https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility

Remove all files, folders and registry entries.
Reboot and check for missed things.
If any found, remove them and reboot again.

Install CleanUp and use your license for it.

Thank you all. Now do I use add/remove first followed by avastclear or just use avastclear first?

Add/remove, reboot, avastclear and follow it’s directions.

Thank you.
To Eddy: Install CleanUp and use your license for it.
I logged intp my Avast acct and it does not show cleanup as being on my system. No licenses it says,

Did you purchase Cleanup or are you using the free version which is very limited ???

The OP said " Also, I paid for Clean up and would like to keep that"

Then he should obviously also have a license for it.

To clarify – I have the license. I do not seem to have the program. I would think it would show up in my avast account but it is not there. Thank you.

See if from here you can sign in and get the program:
https://www.avast.com/en-us/cleanup-addon#pc

I can get it but they want $$$. Logged onto my account - same deal, no licenses. Thanks.

Have you contacted Avast ???

If I understand the OP right, he has the license and wants to download the stand-alone installer of Cleanup.

The only Download listed requires a purchase hence the link to contact Avast.

I see also a blue “try it free” download button.

But here is the download link http://cleanup.tools.avast.com/tools/cleanup/avast_cleanup_setup.exe

( EDIT : I replaced the first link by the direct download link )
( EDIT 2 : Allowing/disallowing scripts on the website gives totally different results, also for the download link )

So Red, if I d.l. the free, is it a trial? and when the trial is up, i say buy and put in my license??

Once I get the AV off my system I will deal with Avast cleanup. Thanks to all.

I am not using Cleanup.
But my guess is that you have a license file ?
Install Cleanup from the link I have posted, and than double-click the license file to apply it.
