Hello,

I’m having a problem with the Uninstall protection feature.

The problem regarding to the Uninstall protection is: It is unable to display the PIN protection while uninstall an app. When uninstall an app, it just shows a confirmation dialog whether uninstall or cancel (default by Android). This feature worked well before, but in the latest update I find this issue.

I do know that the feature is turned off by default, and I’ve turned it on back yet.

Would you give me a solution?

It was disabled by default in newest version because of confused users. You can enable it in Mobile Security settings screen.

What device do you have? Sometimes the dialog with PIN (when uninstall protection is allowed and set) takes a little long time to show up, because the app manager has higher priority.

I use smartphone Lenovo S560, Android 4.0.4. I’ve checked and waited for a long time but the dialog with PIN doesn’t display.

did you try rebooting your device and/or unplugging it from the cable?

Just a guess, I suppose you did update to the newest version, right? Could you try reinstalling the whole thing? I looked into the code and nothing changed there since the last version.

Hi Filip,

Yes, I did update to the newest version. I’ve just tried reinstalling AMS but it seems doesn’t help. The PIN only displays when opening the AMS interface.
