Uninstalled Avast and i still can't download any other anti programs

So i decided that i wanted to switch back to AVG and uninstalled Avast.

I tired downloading AVG and this popped up :

Error code: 0xC0070643 Error message: General internal error Additional message: MSI Engine: Failed to install the product @AVGMSI_Error 27054 Installation failed. (0xE0010032) Context: AVG product installation, MSI action failed.

At first, i thought AVG was an issue but after attempting to download programs i realized it had to do with Avast.

I read some where that i had to go into safe mode with this avastcleaner thing and i did as i was told.

I went into Safe Mode and searched Avast then deleted every single file that had ‘avast’ in it.

Now, anytime i search for Avast, nothing pops up yet i still can’t download AVG or any other anti viruses.

Can you guys please help me? I’m having a panic attack.

Avastclear tool http://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avastclear.exe, run the tool and it will ask to reboot to safemode which you need to accept and when finished reboot back to normal mode.

Also run CCleaner disk and registry clean/reboot and then re-try your install.

You say the download of avg is failing, but in your quote you say the installation is failing.
Which one is it?
Got any problems if you try to install another application that uses the msi?
What OS/SP?
Any anti-malware software installed prior to avast, and/or now?

Anytime i download AVG it loads then at the end an error pops up.

What exactly is MSI?

Are there any anti viruses that doesn’t require ‘msi’?

Downloading is not the same as “loading”.
Loading is when you (try) to start a already installed application.
So, at what exact point is it going wrong/are you getting the error message?
Please mention all steps you are doing like:

  1. going to the avg website (exact website link)
  2. clicking on the download link (and what exact link)
    etc. etc.
