Hi
I have been using avast home for 2 years and have been using avast professinal for a while.
I have to keep on uninstalling and reinstalling avast to keep Script Blocker working, have to do this every 2 to 3 days as this is the only thing that seems to work.
That is sad!Could you at least tell us which browser you are using?BTW there are a lot of programs out there with script blocking feature(like MS Antispyware) that you can use with avast!
I mainly use firefox, Yes i know this doesn’t work with script blocker.
I do use IE sometimes, My wife uses IE all the time.
I have MS Antispyware installed.
Bottom line paid for professional version, script blocker worked fine then it just keeps stopping.
Also i have seen some people expressing concern about VPS updates etc.
As a result i have chosen to not use AVAST for know and in the future if i decide to go back to using AVAST i will only use the home version as i won’t pay for the professional version again.
I also use the pro version and use mozilla suite and the script blocker doesn’t work fo me either so i understand you completely.I’m sorry you are leaving avast but check back here in a month or two when hopefully this issue(and others) is resolved!
Hi Tech
I checked out the link but i don’t think i put my point across very well.
I know firefox dose not work with Script Blocker and this is not a problem.
The problem is if i am using IE every 2 to 3 days Script Blocker stops counting any sites i have visited.
I stop getting up the flash with Avast scriptblocker when i go to IE
And the only way i can get it to work again is to Reinstall Avast.
That was one of the reasons i bought the professional version of Avast for the Script blocker for when i but mainly for my wife who will only use IExplorer.
I have tried to find out why Script blocker stops working as i don’t get any errors and the provider says Script Blocker is running even when it stops working.
