Any one have this problem or offer any help:
Avast will not start. Tells me: UNKNOWN ERROR program connot activate resident part (localhost - err - 2147467260)

Please, post the last 200-250 lines of avast log: C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\DATA\log\Setup.log

Hi

Please find attached the logfile as requested.

I would really appreciate your help on this as the computer is now not able to send email messages and the Avast program wont unistall/re-install properly at all.
