I just performed a clean install of Windows 10. The only programs I installed are Avast Free and Chrome (which Avast itself installed for me.)
Now, every few seconds it tells me it blocked an infection
I’m not familiar with any of this and it is driving me insane, because I have not even downloaded or installed anything else.
What do I need to do? Thanks in advance.
This is happening to me on one of my computers this morning also and it is getting very old very quickly.
It seems to be associated with the use of my Chrome browser, since if I use my Internet Explorer browser it doesn’t happen.
Unfortunately I have been unable to find out if this is really an issue with Chrome, another case of Avast being being overly aggressive or if this computer is really infected. :-\
Chrome and Avast seem to be getting along fine on my wife’s computer and my other gaming computer with none of these particular infection blocked warnings whatsoever.
