I rather think that Techās comment may have been more tongue in cheek than the spirit. As in, if you didnāt miss avast, what are you doing back in the avast forums peddling this information ???
My feelings are this is the official avast! support forums and as such we should be concentrating on that. Generally the users here are either seeking help or giving it for avast not looking for another AV solution. What others might or might not be doing is more of a concern of avast software than user level. Unless that user is looking for another solution, in which case I would say they would be better off looking at independent review sites, than swallow the usual marketing blurbā¦
Iām of the school if it isnāt broken donāt fix it, so I have been using avast for over seven and a half years, it suits my needs so I have no need to seek out a replacement.
If and when that day comes I will do my searching, so I donāt need the other solutions shoved down my throat ātodayā (so to speak) as I donāt need it now. If the day ever comes that information would be dated and useless.
I didnāt delete your posts, but I can see why they might have been deleted. After all avast! is paying the bill for the forums.

well new products are always a new challengeā¦using vipre engine doesnt seem to be a good ideaā¦vipre according to me is also new to the AV industryā¦
