My kids just got their phones upgraded from a flip phone to a smart phone. Both are identical and brand new. My daughter’s phone is fine but my son’s phone says it has an untrusted sim present in the device. I put avast anti-theft, anti-virus and cleanup on their phones first.
I’m not sure the problem but I was using my phone today and the alarm started going off and stating it was stolen. I’ve had this phone since October and I haven’t touched avast since then. when i got online to see what caused this is said un-trusted sim and I clicked found and it attempts to reach the phone but never does.
tazrulezall,
perform a clean installation of all avast software.
That should solve it.

as your problem has nothing to do with the OP’s problem, please (re)search as there has already been posted many (possible) solutions for it on this webboard.

It no longer says untrusted SIM for the phone. I got the SIM replaced, there was a tiny scratch on it, and did a factory reset and reinstalled the apps and it works fine now. Thanks for the reply.
