ha, would it be hard for me to up grade to internet security i have got pro. antivirus all ready only had it for 3 week now and i took it for 2 years i hate to lose the 2 years i pay for the pro. antivirus . i pay my bills on line and my girl said i need to get the internet security

You don’t need to lose it. Convert version 4 license to version 5.
I think there is a discount for upgrading from av 4.8 to the suite 5.

If you are happy with your firewall (what is it ?) and you have avast 5.0 pro then all you are missing out on is the anti-spam application.

If you want the avast internet security suite then you could always contact sales (at) avast (dot) com and explain you have just bought avast 5.0 Pro and is is possible to upgrade/convert your existing license between the two products and pay the difference.

i have windows defender fire wall. is that good or do i need more .

Windows Defender isn’t a firewall so not so good (as a firewall) XP and Vista have their own firewall, XP’s has zero outbound protection and Vista’s firewall has the outbound protection disabled by default and isn’t very user friendly.

ha . im run win xp with avast pro i just load privatefirewall will it work good with it for a firewall.

Some in the forums are using privatefirewall I have never tried it.

Many forum users are using these:

  • PC Tools Firewall seems to have the least user headaches as it doesn’t seem to be constantly asking the user questions about this and that.
  • Online Armor for the most parts fine but it has caused some users grief after avast program updates and that is something you have to watch out for.
