My firend has Avast 4.8. Pro installed with license valid till February 2013. She says she purchased the license, but i don’t know why so old version was installed. Can she update to Avast 7 with the same license? Can this be done just by downloading version 7 and installing it over current version or she will need re-enter her licence key?
She nees to convert its license from avast 4.8 to avast 7 I suppose.
Which is free. 
Can anybody post a link to where she can do this? I’ve searched the site and did not find it…
This is the only one I have, don’t know if it is still in use (appears to be) as there is an input for the 4.8 Pro license number.
- avast! 5/6 Pro license convert from 4.8 Pro license. Try http://www.avast.com/resend-license.php now, fill in the form giving your email and 4.8 Pro License key and they will send the new license file to you (presumably it will check you have a legit 4.8 Pro license first).
