I had the same issue on some systems - if this gets messed up, usually a manually update does fix that.

We can’t rely on manual updates!
avast NEVER fault on this… Automatic updates working is a MUST have and avast can’t be degraded to the other two antivirus scheme: AVG has little free servers, Avira has a poor and only one automatic update daily (if I’m not wrong).

I know - it’s just a poor workaround.
Let’s hope this gets fixed, as i also don’t want to explain people, that they have to make a manual update after avast did an automatic update…

There’ll be a new program version soon. I know. So be patient.
