The update checks happen when you first connect, then every 240 minutes (default delay) if you remain connected. But there is no such update on shutdown option it would be a coincidence if an update happened to be ongoing when you shutdown.
I can’t get my head round the 67 updates, do you mean 67 update attempts as if you can’t connect avast tries other servers to complete the update check and update if available ?
??? : im thinking what his talking about? ???
his talking about his attempt to update avast or his talking about the word
" do not shut down or detach from power, installing update"
67 to 67
but that is windows update.
Ah I’ve just checked the C:\Windows folder and it is full of window updates - I had turned off Window updates (as it can screw up a stable environment) and somehow the loading of Avasti set them on without asking me - that is really ANNOYING
sorry to have bother you all, I just did not believe a security product would muck up my machine
avast doesn’t change your system settings, especially your windows update settings. I have had avast for 6 years and it hasn’t changed any of my system/windows update settings, so there is something else going on with your system.
that’s question should be ask to Microsoft windows, i notice that also
why when the Kb-update you cannot off the auto update
Kb-update when you uninstalled it, it opposite action they automatically configure.
??? i thinking maybe because they want to monitor our os either it is genuine or not ;D 8)
