Installed 8, now there are no announcement or pop-up for updates.
How do I fix this ?
Sound and auto updates are turned on.

Repair avast!:
- Control Panel → Add/Remove programs → avast!
- Click on ‘Repair’.
- Follow instructions.
- Reboot.
I too am experiencing the same thing with fresh installs…
Same here. Did a clean install and VPS are not updating automatically. Manual VPS updates are working fine with streaming updates. I’ve just done a repair and now need to wait for the next VPS to see if it’s fixed.
Are you getting any errors displayed ?
Do you have the avast Settings, Updates, Proxy settings, set to Direct Connection (no proxy) ?
If not try that.
Well i am experiencing automatic vps updates fine. With free avast antivirus on windows 8 and Avast internet security suite on windows 7 both build 1482.But is not doing voiceovers and speaking the updates like 7 always used to.
it’s updating fine it’s just i don’t hear anything…streaming updates are working… but no voice over…
The issue only affects my clean install on Windows 8. I have now set it to Direct Connection (no proxy), hopefully that should fix it. Only time will tell. There are no error messages.
Hopefully so, you could reboot and that would initiate an auto update check. Whilst there may not be an update available right then, but you can check your avastUI, Maintenance section and it should the last update attempt time, this should roughly coincide with your boot-time (fairly soon after).
I did this process this morning and have not received any updates since.

http://www.avast.com/en-gb/virus-update-history has the latest VPS info. The one you have 130301-0 is the latest at this moment of time.
