updating question

hello

i m using ais with version 5.1.889

i updated my pc into avast 6 and my laptop has 5.1 version…

i did not liked avast 6 as much as 5.1… so can i use old version without any problem? will i get any viruses if i not update into 6?

I have avast! V6.0.1000 on my Windows 7 system and it works great.

What don’t you like about V6 ???

  1. new avast 6 is very big file to download with 92 mb and old avast 5 is 61 mb which is not hard to download for dial up users…

  2. avast 6 seems slow to me than 5

  3. avast 5 is small,easy and protects from virus in small software then y to use such a big software having 92 mb…

  4. i seen avg software 1st time and it was more than 80 mb so i refused to use that by viewing its size so i selected avast bcoz 5.0 was small in size but now avast seems very big than any other av…

I find V6 much faster than V5.1 on both my XP Pro system and my Windows 7 system.

ya but may be its ur views… but it seems slower to me than 5.0…

can i use 5.0 without any problem?

I believe you will be informed to update to V6.

yes i get msg at bottom to update into 6… but i not want to update it to 6… is this ok if i run without updating to 6???

Actuall the download size for avast 6 is 55 meg and once installed it’s 153 meg.
