Just did the upgrade to 8 and it’s causing problems. When i go to the settings menu it opens then slowly begins to shrink. Then everything freezes. I can only close via task manager or computer shutdown. Any ideas.
I suggest a “clean install” isntead of installing over an existing version
What OS? Any other security software you have now or ever had?
If uninstalled how was it uninstalled?
You may need to do a clean install. Follow the directions from here http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility
