UPGRADE button removal - Internet Security

I have an active subscription to internet security with some 600+ days remaining, not a free copy.
I don’t want the additional features from premier, and I’m quite happy with what i have, other than having things jammed my throat by avast.
Latest update has a lovely green UPGRADE button in the title bar - how do i get rid of it, as a paying customer i resent being treated like a free user.

You can’t change the UI.

Simply don’t look at it.
Let avast do its job in the background as it is supposed to do.

I have AIS … Where is the upgrade button ?

It’s at the top center just above Tools, in the released version AIS 2016 11.1.2241. It occupies only a small amount of real estate; I don’t have a problem with it as it is. BTW, since I didn’t participate in the Betas, that doesn’t appear in my AvastUI.

I suspect that you may have hit the nail on the head - for those in the Beta Testing phase essentially remain on the beta stream, so they can get it if another beta is released.

For those on the beta stream (with the BETA branding in the UI) I think the avast logic is not to Upgrade whilst in the beta stream, so no button ???

I’m in beta channel and still have the upgrade button. It’s probably added completely randomly like the Chrome junk offer on update.

There’s also a button to run a Smart Scan.
I don’t use that button either.
This is the interface and a way to accomplish certain functions.
Choosing any of these function or not choose those functions is you choice.
Simply ignore it if you don’t intend to upgrade.
