Upgrade from avast! Pro Antivirus to avast! Internet Security

Hi…
Can anyone tell me if there is an upgrade from avast! Pro to avast! Internet Security because my purchased avast! Pro Antivirus 5.x… is valid until summer 2011. but I don’t see the option for upgrade, I saw only full licence key for Internet Security and that is little unreasonable to buy licence key if I just bought it for avast! Pro Antivirus…
Or I just need to wait until summer 2011 without firewall protection…
Thanks a lot…be blessed

Well we are already at summer 2010, so I presume you mean summer 2011 ?

The AIS license is also for up to 3 systems isn’t it, and if you have multiple systems that wouldn’t be quite so bad.

You could always contact sales (at) avast (dot) com and ask if there is an upgrade price from pro to AIS, considering you have just purchased the Pro version.

Thanks… :frowning:

No problem, glad I could help.

Welcome to the forums.

I did contact an Avast sales team member who told me that Avast have no upgrade price or product to take you from previously purchased version of Avast Pro and add in the features of Avast Internet Security.

The AIS product contains the same elements of Avast Pro so Avast really need to address this for the upgrade otherwise it means we all have to purchase Avast Pro over again just to get the security features.

Maybe best to wait until a) they have invented it or b) until your Pro license runs out :frowning:

Yes it is possibly better to wait until your Pro license is almost at an end.

However, the AIS product does also appear to have an advantage if you have more than one system, there is a reasonably priced option to cover up to 3 systems at a price which is probably lower than purchasing three Pro licenses. Plus there are deals on right now, which might not be on when your Pro license is near its end.

So given that there isn’t much point in having an upgrade from Pro to AIS price as they would also have look at the time you have left on your Pro license for those who have recently purchased.

See images of current offers.

At the moment there is a great offer on Wilders for a 55% discount on both Avast! IS and Avast! Pro :

Thanks Rednose this is a very good discount, which for many it would be worthwhile getting and not waiting until their current license expires. More so if they went for AIS (3 systems) and for 2 years rather than one.

Edit: Point of note, this 55% discount is on the list price and can’t be used over and above any existing offer/discount price shown as there is currently a discount on a 2 years license.

Re:Avast “Wilders” Eclusive Discount Code

Remember, you have to be a member here.

I honestly don’t see how they can actually check for that, as there isn’t anywhere to input a Wilder’s member ID nor how they would actually be able to check against the Wilder’s member database to confirm any data you input.

Fingerprints

The discount is for anyone who wishes to use it.

Thanks for the clarification trjam.

Hi to everyone…

First of all thank you, all of you, for your care about this issue. I already bought AIS at 01.10.2010. so the licence of Avast Pro is waiting for opportunity to be used.
I make this decision because my TOSHIBA SATELLITE L10-119, Intel Celeron 1.5 GHz, 1GB RAM, XP SP3 Home works best with AIS in combination with SAS Pro.
Only SAS slows it a Little if the “Real time protection” of SAS is turned on. What is important my reinstalling of Windows with Toshiba recovery CD. After that my system goes like “FORMULA 1” ;D. I done this because of a lot of tests like Avast Free with Online Armor, Avast Free with Private Firewall, Avast Free With Agnitum Outpost, Avast Free with Ashampoo Firewall, AVG Internet Security, Emsisoft Anti-Malware with Online Armor, and few more what was so much for system so it needed to be cleaned-registry was full with rubbish.
After all now with my clean system I will use AIS with Google Chrome 9.0.570.1 SANDBOXED to keep system without new trash and in good condition. This solution is the best for my system.

Thanks…

Sorry…

Need to say that Avast Sales team gave me AIS for 50% off.

God bless you all…

Hi…one question

If I want to give someone my licence of Avast! Pro can I do that?
