Upload files fail

I make use of Filezilla ftp client. I can establish connection with the server, modify the remote directory (deleting files, for example) and make downloads. However I can not make uploads to the server. After an extensive analysis, the support team of my university told me that the problem was in Avast Firewall. Even with the Firewall turned off, I can not upload files. I am running Windows 10 OS.

Someone have any idea about the origin of this problem?

  • Which Avast…? (Free/Pro/IS/Premier)
  • Which version…?
  • OS…? (32/64 Bit…? - which SP/Build…?)
  • Other security related software installed…?
  • Which AV(s) did you use before Avast…?

Thanks,

My software is Avast Premier, running under Windows 10 (64 bits). I have also installed Avast Driver Updater e Avast Clean Up. The Filezilla version is the latest release, as well all Avast software. Avast is the only security software installed and has been installed over a clean windows installation.

Does it work if you uninstall the FW…?

If I understood correctly, FW means Firewall. I have tried with Firewall turned off (as well as with all Avast modules turned off) with the same results.

Update to the latest version (19.3.2369): https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=225874.0

I did it. It still doesn`t work.

Well, why do you think that it’s related to Avast then…?

As I said in my first post, an extensive analysis has been made by TI team of my university. From another computer, there is no problem to upload files to my area on the server. Tests has been made with success. So they arrive the conclusion that the problem was in my computer and was related with firewall of the Avast.

Although my focus ih this post is in the ftp function, sftp also presents problem. I cann’t even connect with the server trough sftp. Some time ago, I had this problem with Avast. However, at that time, when the Firewall of Avast was turned off, the connection with the server was achieved.
