Urgent: Incorrect Email on Free Trial - Unable to Cancel Subscription

Hi,

I accidentally entered my email incorrectly when signing up for the free trial. The email I used is the same as mine but with the last letter missing.

That email didn’t exist at the time, yet Avast automatically created an account for it. I later created a Gmail account with that same address to regain access, but I can’t reset the Avast account password associated with it. I don’t receive any password reset emails, even though the account now exists.

I need to cancel my subscription before the trial period ends to avoid charges, but I can’t access my account.
I have all the relevant details except the order ID.

Could I get some assistance in resolving this issue?

Thank you!

Best regards,
Dabu Bogdan

Update: I managed to contact Avast support through their online chat feature. Not sure how I didn’t see the option in my previous attempts.

Firstly, a bot tries to resolve your issue by providing links to info pages according to your problem. Then, it asks if your issue has been resolved, offering “Yes” and “No” options. If you select “No,” you’ll be connected to a support agent to chat about your problem. I knew what email I typed in, the license key, and the day I have accepted the free trial.

I’ll leave this topic here in case anyone else runs into the same problem. Hope this helps!
