URL:Blacklist - Avast Threat Secured

This alert panel has only recently been popping up, mainly when using Bing News.
I suspect it results from an Avast update as it has never popped up before.

As Avast immediately aborts the connection to teilortools.com which contains the infection, I have no worries.
But it is a nuisance.

Has anybody else got this problem and can I get rid of it ?

Not so much an Avast program update but a virus definitions update.

Are you actually trying to visit that site (I suspect so), which is running a javascript when connecting ?

Only one detection found here - https://www.virustotal.com/gui/url/ca807b148c82b955c23d87e9fe0e23477b0fbe84d5ed8b4acebc8c2776e70516?nocache=1
Whilst nothing untoward found there are security improvements that could be made - https://en.internet.nl/site/teilortools.com/2297331/
Scan failed here - Medium Security Risk - https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/teilortools.com - but some security points made.
Minimal Security Risk - https://quttera.com/detailed_report/teilortools.com

You can use the - Reporting a Possible False Positive File or Website - https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php.
You should get a response in a day or two.

EDIT: Interestingly I can’t connect to that 403 Forbidden error, mentioned in some of the above, see attached, Firefox browser.

A million thanks for that superb and informative post David. I have emailed Avast with the details, suggesting it could be a false positive. Will keep you posted on what they say.

You’re welcome.

Hopefully it will be a positive outcome.

Your Virustotal scan is enough to say the site is clean.

@ DavidR
See copy of Avast email reply on this issue and a million thanks for your help.
Without your comments, this matter would not have been solved.
And I know that I am not the only victim, there are many more.
Avast email -
