Our e-commerce site www.vialemagico.it has been experiencing a false positive since 2025. We encountered this issue a few months after creating the new site with Sucuri and Cloudflare activated. Is it possible we’ve inflicted this error because it blocks all bots?
Is there a way to request a REVIEW or notify AVAST of the scan with Cloudflare and Sucuri active?
Domain active for 15 years
Site rebuilt from scratch 5 months ago (PrestaShop 8.2)
New dedicated server with new IP
Cloudflare + Sucuri active
No malware, no redirects, no suspicious scripts
VirusTotal, Sucuri, and Google Safe Browsing scans all clean
We’ve already tested on other platforms, and the site appears clean. Some users have reported that since I activated Cloudflare, it’s difficult for Avast to check, and it blocks false positive verification.
Thanks, but I had already sent this request before Christmas, but I assume it’s an automatic process and therefore isn’t being considered. I tried resending new requests today and also asked customers to let me know.
Unfortunately there isn’t much more I can do on this.
I would use the manual report form again but this time add a link back to this topic. Now I don’t know if would have an impact or not or if the emails are auto read or manually or not.
Do you think it’s possible after installing a new site in PrestaShop 8.2 entirely from scratch on a new dedicated server, so even with a new IP address, could this have affected the history? Another concern, besides having a completely new site, is that we have Cloudflare and Sucuri blocking all bots and any scans. Could this affect AVAST’s scans?
This isn’t something that I’m familiar with, not knowing the details in the Avast Alert window with the More details option selected. A screenshot might help.
I suspect not if you are using the same domain name.
Edit: Following on I tried to visit the site to try and trigger an alert, I’m using Firefox set to only make HTTPS connections and it reports no secure connection available.
The reported URL was manually checked, and based on the findings, the detection was removed. The website is now marked as clean in the Avast virus database. This change may take up to 1 hour to take full effect. Please accept my apology for the inconvenience caused.
This is the screen that appears. The new platform that created the entire site from scratch with the relevant professional security tools confirmed to me that they followed the clean installation procedure, starting from a clean dedicated server with a static IP, so no external users can access it.
So, according to them, malware is impossible. The only question is how AVAST can scan the site even if external systems block all bots.
