URL:Mal infection popping up every 10 minutes

I’ve been experiencing a pop up notification every 10 minutes showing the following message:

URL: http://www.socialnewsworld.com/tags/300x
Process: C:\PROGRA~1\Google\GOOGLE~1\GOEC62~1.DLL
Infection: URL:Mal

I haven’t been able to figure out which file is infected. A scan of Google folder showed no infections. Is there some way I can identify the infected file and cure the virus infection?

Thanks

This needs further analysis by a malware removal specialist:

I have the same problem, please find attached logs

here is the malwarebytes and OTL extra.txt logs

OTL TXT and aswmbr logs

The problem started on April 2nd. Is it after the Avast virus definition updates? Many guys have been facing similar problems here since the last 2 days. Was the virus definition update to blame?

Please post this in your own new topic…!!

I’m awaiting a solution to my problem. I have posted the required logs and would appreciate if someone provides a solution. Is this problem faced by Avast users only?

Will someone address this problem?

I’ve managed to stop the pop ups by running tdsskiller as suggested on some other posts in this same forum.
As none of the moderators or the Avast guys were replying n providing a solution, I scouted for one on my own

This makes me lose trust in Avast AV… somehow i get the feeling that the Url:Mal infection came thru virus def updates or something similar thru Avast.

As none of the moderators or the Avast guys were replying n providing a solution, I scouted for one on my own
we only have 2 removal specialists that frequent the forum every day....so it seem they missed your post

i will send them a PM so they see it when they enter the forum

Could you attach the TDSSKiller log please

I haven’t specificially saved a log file. If there’s one saved automatically, could you guide me in looking for it?

A report will be created in your root directory, (usually C:\ folder) in the form of “TDSSKiller.[Version][Date][Time]_log.txt”. Please attach it on your next reply.
