URL:Mal on ebay site

HI there
Today whilst I have been on ebay I keep getting a pop up from avast saying a threat has been detected. When I click on more info all I get is that it is URL:mal. Please can someone help? i have never had this before and have no idea what to do?

Thanks

Louise

This is very strange…
the last 6 or 7 Avast forum posts in the virus section today have all been concerning URL:Mal. Maybe this is something to do with some sort of auto-update? Anyway, thought I’d direct you to this; somebody having the same problem.

same as in the link i gave you above....

No harm to post the response here as well:-):

Hi,
This is because ebay’s advertisement network has been compromised and is showing fake (java and flash, mostly) updates. They are working on it to resolve the issue.
Malekal pointed this first on his blog: http://www.malekal.com/2014/05/20/ebay-virus-lpmxp2-lecteur-video-peux-etre-obsolete/
